Records shattered at Malaga Costa del Sol Airport

Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport broke records in 2025 and welcomed more than 7.1 million passengers, an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period in 2024.

With 1,556.649 passengers, flights from the United Kingdom were the most popular from the international market. Germany (525.010), The Netherlands (461.575), and Italy 410.294 followed. Without knowing the Easter figures for April, it is hard to fully understand what this record means in the first quarter of 2025. A third of the traffic was concentrated during that month, with nearly 2.4 millions of the 7.1million passengers.

In April 2025 the number of passengers using Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport was 2,387.538, with 16,569 landings or takeoffs. This represents an increase of 10,4 percent in passengers.

All airports within the Aena Group (comprising of 46 airports plus two heliports located in Spain, London Luton Airport as well as 17 airports throughout Brazil) managed to close the month of April with 32,342,698 total passengers. This is 6.2% more than they had in the same period of 2024.
