In summer 2025, Marbella’s legendary Villa Tiberio will be transformed into a high-end restaurant and leisure destination, Tatel. The brand is backed by sporting legends Rafa, Pau Gasol and Cristiano. 

Tatel will open its sixth global outpost in this sprawling estate surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. Madrid, Ibiza and Dubai are already there, as well as Riyadh.

The Marbella venue, which is due to open in August, has undergone extensive renovations. It will be a beach club that offers poolside relaxation during the day, and fine dining and live music at night.

Tatel will be a sophisticated experience with a signature blend of gourmet cuisine. This is aimed at Marbella’s wealthy clientele.

Tatel, which is part of Mabel Hospitality and Mabel Capital, have been looking for the ideal Golden Mile location because Marbella has a renewed appeal. The former Villa Tiberio was a Mediterranean- and Italian-style fine dining restaurant since 1989. It closed in March of 2024. Sean Connery and other stars were once guests in its opulent salons and gardens.

Meanwhile, Mabel Capital is investing €200 million in Marbella and Estepona, developing 75 luxury apartments and six villas. These ‘branded residences’ will offer five-star hotel-style amenities, bringing in the highest of global flyers.
