Horizonte Proyecto Hombre is strengthening its commitment to the local community through two key initiatives combining charity, education, and prevention: the annual Rastrillo Benéfico and the School of Families, taking place in Marbella and Estepona from October to December.
The Rastrillo Benéfico, scheduled for Sunday October 5 at Marbella’s Parque de la Alameda, is a well-established event in the city’s social calendar. Running from 10:00 to 19:30, it will feature new and second-hand items donated by individuals and businesses, including clothing, books, toys, home décor, and homemade treats. All proceeds go to the organization’s prevention programmes and therapeutic programs, which support people in vulnerable circumstances and promote positive social change.
School of Families provides free sessions to educators, parents and guardians. They provide tools for improving relationships within the family, managing emotions and setting rules.
The sessions are held in Marbella every Thursday from 17:00-19:00 in the headquarters of Horizonte Proyecto Hombre, and in Estepona every Tuesday at Centro Cultural Padre Manuel. Topics include conflict resolution and communication, as well as self-esteem, emotional Intelligence, adolescent advice, technology, and substance use.
These initiatives address the ongoing concern about youth alcoholism and cannabis consumption, as they also respond to rising behavioral addictions. Horizonte Proyecto Hombre is committed to supporting families and creating a safer, healthier environment for children.
