Police rule out ‘narco killing’ behind death of man found in river in Spain with ‘bag of bricks tied around his neck’ – CSN News

According to police sources, the man found dead in a river near Cadiz in Trebujena is believed to have committed suicide.

The Guardia Civil discovered a body believed to be that of a 62 year old man, who was executed by cartels.

He had a backpack with bricks tied to his neck by a long chain.

Police have ruled foul play out. At first it was suspected that a cartel had executed the man in a drug related incident.

His body is the same as that of a Huelva woman who vanished last December.

The family of the man has been notified of his passing, ‘without detailing the appearance of the body’.

Trebujena, a town in Cadiz, has recently become a major trafficking point for hashish and narcotics.

Some crime experts predicted that the first bodies would appear in a matter of weeks.

The police initially believed that the man was a victim in a cartel-related violence.
