Benalmadena Costa, from May 15-18, will hoist the flag of the Pirate Market in Castillo Bil Bil. This spring festival is a true pirating event, mixing history, adventure and walking the plank.
Supported by Benalmádena council, the market will feature 35 stalls with crafts, food, and drinks, alongside a packed programme of family-friendly activities. The council praised its ‘originality and detailed pirate-themed feel, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy culture, leisure, and local commerce, as well as some pirate fun, me hearties.
Castillo Bil Bil will transform into a vibrant pirate port, bringing the golden age buccaneers and Mediterranean views back. Benalmadena Costa’s promenade comes alive with live music and street theatre. Colourful parades, acrobatic shows, juggling displays, archery, brainteasers, and stunning fireshows illuminate the evenings. The market, which is open between 11am and 2pm and from 5pm until 11.30pm, caters for history buffs, family members, and those who are looking to have fun while supporting local businesses.
The event will draw large crowds and highlight Benalmadena’s reputation as an international hub of creative, high quality, and slightly bizarre tourism. Castillo Bil Bil is flying the skull and crossbones from May 15-18, inviting everyone to embark on an adventure.
