Named is a BRITISH national who survived an assassination of mafia style on the Costa Blanca.

Sonny Redmond (32), remains in intensive care at Torreveija Hospital, after being shot in an underground parking lot in Lomas de Cabo Roig, a residential neighborhood in Orihuela, Costa.

Redmond was sat in his car at around 10pm on December 11 when an unknown assailant opened fire – with up to 15 bullets piercing his vehicle.

Redmond suffered gunshot injuries to his chest, arm and leg in this brutal attack.

It was still possible for him to exit the car, and get help from his neighbour despite the hail of bullets.

His injuries were treated in an emergency surgery at the hospital.

Redmond, from Bootle, Merseyside, is a career criminal who appeared on a ‘most wanted’ list issued by Merseyside Police in 2021 before legally changing his name to Peter F. in an attempt to avoid detection.

This year has seen a rise in the number of people who are able to access healthcare. Olive Press Redmond, a British man with heavy weapons who terrorized cannabis clubs in Costa Blanca was arrested.

Redmond and two other men, including Fulgencio, snuck into the La Marina urbanisation in October 2024 armed with machine-guns.

They threatened an employee and stole around €5,000 of products and €600 in cash before literally taking over the business, demanding €25,000 from the owner and a 50 per cent slice of future profits.

The message read, “We’re not messing around and we will bring war to you. And we understand that you have a family and children.”

Another warned of ‘blowing his head off’ and was accompanied by videos showing off the gang’s arsenal of weapons.

On November 6, a 33-year old man was arrested and sent to prison after a surveillance operation.

Redmond was believed to have fled the country following the incident. He was arrested in Orihuela on April 8th.

He ran into a house and held an old foreign couple as hostages.

Richmond was arrested after a lengthy struggle during which three police officers were injured.

His house was found to have two submachine guns with more than 300 rounds of ammunition.

He has an extensive history of criminal activity in the UK, with links to two shootings in Liverpool – one at his mother’s home and a separate incident where over a dozen shots were fired between rival gangs in two cars.

Redmond was sentenced to four years in prison for robbery, possession of an offensive weapons and robbery.

Redmond was believed to have been freed on bail following his arrest eight-months ago.

His shooting could be linked to the murder on December 21 of a British man aged 29.

The Guardia Civil has classified the killing as being gang related.
