French-Spanish Gipsy Jazz ensemble Pascale & Co. are set to play at Clarence Jazz Club on Saturday, July 12, for a night of sophistication and cool jazz.
The band blends influences from Manouche, Chanson Française, pop, and jazz, creating a distinctive sound that evokes the charm of French cabaret and the energy of Gipsy jazz. Led by vocalist Pascale Petecchia, the group includes Óscar Bergillos (guitar), Jesús Ferreira (double bass), Juan Sáenz (drums), Elena Jiménez (clarinet, lyre, and accordion), Francisco Javier Molina (trumpet and flugelhorn), and Pablo Gago de Barnardi (saxophone).
Pascale & Co. have released two albums so far: Si vous voulez (2015) and Jouer au hasard (2019). The band’s dynamic instrumentals and Pascale’s powerful vocals are said to create a hypnotic effect. The accordion lends a melodic, slower tone that is reminiscent of Parisian music, while the saxophone gives the sound an energetic jazz feel.
Their music is a fusion of French and Spanish musical influences and is characterized by evocative, intimate compositions.
Pascale & Co. will be on stage at 10pm. Tickets cost between €10 and €15 and can be booked from the box office at www.clarencejazzclub.com Calle Danza Invisible 8 Torremolinos.
