The exhibition, ‘Obras nuevas’, is a stunning exhibition of 38 paintings by the acclaimed Argentine artist Mónica ‘Ana’ Aveni. The free show is open from Tuesday to Friday between 10am and 8pm and on Saturdays with a 2pm to 4pm gap.
Aveni is an Argentinean born artist who has lived in Estepona for the past 15 years. She brings to her solo show her extensive global experience, as well as her heritage. Born in Mendoza in Argentina, Aveni studied art history, mastered watercolour and her work was featured in books such as La Actualidad del Arte Argentino. Her career boasts highlights such as a permanent piece in France’s Musée du Libérateur Général San Martin, murals in Buenos Aires hospitals, and exhibitions from Florence’s Galleria d’Arte Mentana to the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
Estepona’s Casa de las Tejerinas in Plaza de las Flores welcomes Aveni back to Sala 1 after her successful joint show with Sandra Mariño in March 2024. Her new collection is a blend of bold expressions and delicate techniques, which reflects her global journey. The exhibition is open to the public and offers a chance to see world-class artwork in a local setting.
