A new study from the Association for Health Self-Care, (ANEFP), shows that only a little over a quarter or people in Spain are not concerned about their sexual well-being.
According to the survey, 26.3% of respondents do not practice any form of self-care. This figure increases to 41.5% among those aged 56 and older.
According to the ANEFP survey, 40.6% respondents said that they believed that maintaining good sexual health requires open communication between partners.

Concerning contraception: 24.4% males use a condom and 12.1% females take precautions.
In the survey, only 8.8% said that they perform self-testing for sexually transmissible diseases.
When broken down into age groups, this rises up to 13.9% in the 18-to-40 age range, and drops to 4.8% at 56+ years.
Other findings revealed that 5.8% of the respondents used vaccines against sexually transmissible diseases while 3.9% said they used psychological support and therapy.
3% more said they attended talks and workshops on the topic.
All these practices are more common amongst young people and people with high buying power. They also tend to be more prevalent in active workers and students.
Galicia had 17.7% of the population rejecting safe sexual practices.
In the Valencian Community this jumps to 32% and in Andalucia it is 32.9%.
