Tebas criticises Barcelona
“How can I give a precautionary step to a player that knew that this could happen? If Olmo signed a contract knowing that he would not be a Barca member in December, and that he might not even be registered?” Tebas questioned, in a press conference.

Barcelona still confident in Olmo
FC Barcelona is optimistic about the outcome of the appeal it has submitted to the Sports Council regarding the registration of Dani Olmo. The club claims that it has submitted all necessary documents to La Liga by the deadline.
La Liga claims, however that the documents had been sent on 3 January, three days after the deadline. According to Spanish outlet, the final decision on Dani Olmo’s registration will be made early in April. AS. Barcelona will keep pushing for a positive outcome until then. Olmo is still a key member of their squad.

Olmo is in good form this year for Barcelona despite the controversy. He has scored seven goals and provided three assists in just 22 appearances.
