Do not put away your umbrellas yet. After a short respite, Konrad will bring more rain to the Costa del Sol on Wednesday night, March 12th.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain, predicting up to 15 litres per square metre in an hour and 40 litres over 12 hours across Malaga city, the Costa del Sol, Guadalhorce Valley, Axarquía, and Ronda.
This Atlantic storm, classified as ‘high-impact,’ will bring not only rain but also strong winds, potentially interrupting the calm weather expected this Wednesday. Aemet predicts heavy rains starting at midnight and lasting until Thursday.
Meteorologists warn this storm could signal the start of even more disruptions, after a series or storms over the past two weeks. Residents in particularly vulnerable areas are advised to be prepared for localised wind and flooding hazards. The weekend should bring some relief.
Stay informed and prepared by keeping your rain gear on hand. Storm Konrad will soon make landfall in the Costa del Sol.
