Northern Soul at Cazbah Mijas

Cazbah Live Lounge is holding Northern Soul Night in Mijas on Saturday, 19th July.

What is Northern Soul? American Soul, mostly from the northern states, found new roots in the 60s in the north of England, as ‘Soulies’ came together for all-nighters at grand venues like the Wigan Casino. Northern Soul is still a big scene today, with people dancing the night away wearing waist-flared jeans and doing acrobatics. The Northern Soul scene, despite the American music, was a very English phenomenon, pre-disco. It was all about showing your best moves in the ballroom. Once you start, it becomes addictive. It’s easy to do at home.

A night of non-stop dancing to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Chuck Wood, The Embers, Gloria Jones, Roger Hatcher, and many other Northern Soul vinyl rarities await at the Cazbah Live Lounge with the best Northern Soul DJs on the coast, Lupi ‘Krazy Boy’ and El Tel at The Cazbah Live Lounge.
