Hyundai’s IONIQ 9 SUV electric has been one the most anticipated vehicles for 2025 since its debut in November 2024.

All IONIQ9 models have a standard 110kWh battery. They also come in a Long Range 218PS (RWD), Long Range 307PS (AWD) or 427PS Performance AWD. Long-Range RWD models feature a rear motor of 160 kW, while Long-Range AWD models add a front motor of 66 kW for added performance. Performance AWD models offer powerful 157-kW front and rear motors.

Performance AWD accelerates from zero to 62mph in 5.2 seconds. The Long-Range AWD takes 6.7. Long-Range RWD does this in 9.4 second. Long Range RWD models have torque levels as high as 350Nm, while Long Range AWD models can achieve 605Nm. Performance models are able to accelerate at higher speeds and overtake faster.

 

With prices starting from £64,995, the IONIQ 9 Premium 218PS RWD features 19″ alloy wheels, roof rails, LED cube projection headlights and LED taillights, automatic door handles, privacy glass and power tailgate. The interior equipment includes heated leather seats, wool and leather seat upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats with eight-way adjustment, 2-way lumbar, and heated rear seats. The premium models come with automatic headlights, windscreen wipers, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Available from £73,495, the Ultimate 307PS AWD builds on the Premium specification by adding 20″ alloy wheels, body coloured wheel arch with black inserts and panoramic sunroof. Interior specification includes leather interior, 4-way lumbar adjustment to front driver and passenger seats.rd row.

The Ultimate trim adds two additional features: the Ergo Motion Driver’s Seat and Active Noise Control Road (ANC-R). Ergo Motion is a driver’s seat that enhances comfort and reduces fatigue by using massage functions, including “comfortable Stretch” and “smart postural assist”. These can be accessed via the infotainment.

The range topping Calligraphy model starts from £75,795 for the 307PS AWD. Calligraphy models include 21″ wheels with full body colour wheel archs, bumper and side skir graphics.
