Netball takes off in Alhaurín el Grande

Netball is starting to take off in southern Spain, and Sierra Stars Netball Club in Alhaurín el Grande is looking for new players.

After six weeks of planning, they’ve just been recognised by the Asociación de Netball España and played their first game on Sunday, April 6. A team of women aged 14 to 70 years old with the support from the local council.

The team is now looking for other women who share the same passion and are willing to come along, have fun, and help the community. There are only a couple of netball teams on the south-coast, but the clubs are trying to attract more players and create a fun community, no matter their fitness or skill levels. This is the only netball team in the Guadalhorce valley, and it’s waiting for you.
