Elon Musk, and his Tesla brand have had a tough month. Acts of vandalism were committed across Europe and around the World.
Elon Musk is starting to have a personal brand that ‘Marmite’ would be proud of – people either love him or hate him. Right now, though, it would appear that the ‘hate brigade’ is making its feelings known in the strongest way possible. Musk is so concerned that he has responded to X by using a single term: “terrorism.”
This incident occurred on March 31, in Italy. The fire that broke out overnight in a Tesla showroom in Rome led to the destruction 17 cars. The police are still looking into the matter, but they haven’t completely ruled out that it was anarchists.
Who is vandalising Teslas?
There was also the incident in Sweden that happened on the same date. This time, two Tesla dealerships located in Stockholm and Malmö were vandalised. Swedish media reported that activists from the Restore Wetlands Group had spray painted them orange. Four people were arrested after the incident. While the paint was removed, Musk is certain to be irritated.
In Germany, there were two more incidents. On March 29, seven Teslas were destroyed in Verden by fire. While police are still investigating the cause of the fire, a subsequent act of vandalism took place on – yes, you’ve guessed it – March 31.
Tesla Dealership vandalised Berlin
Neue Generation also chose to spray paint their feelings, choosing this time blue, on the Tesla dealership in Berlin. They are not original, but it is said that they belong to the same group as the Swedish vandals who spray painted a Tesla dealership in blue.
Elon Musk Telsa is attacked outside Europe
In addition to the European countries, in this month there were also acts of arson and vandalism in the United States. Of these, three people were arrested and at least 5 Tesla vehicles were damaged. Musk isn’t winning any popularity contests either in Australia or New Zealand, where vandalism has been reported. Several Tesla owners have taken to Facebook to report how their cars were vandalised over the past few months.
