Mother who had six children taken away is arrested after ‘selling baby for €2k’ in Spain – CSN News

A WOMAN who sold her newborn baby for €2,000 has been arrested by the Policia Nacional.

The couple, who were undergoing fertility treatment and bought the girl, as well as their two family members have been detained.

The 37-year old woman from Madrid’s Mostoles district apparently regretted her deal and wanted to get it back.

She went to the police last month to report that a family had ‘kidnapped’ her daughter.

She claimed they demanded a €2,000 ransom for her return plus an additional €1,000 to cover expenses.

The woman gave birth to six previous children. All of them were taken from her by the Madrid region.

She claims that she was afraid of losing her latest baby and said that to a guy she met in Madrid at a party last November.

Apparently, according to her- the man, 24, had invited her Cordoba to where she would receive care until the baby is born.

After giving birth, it is said that she wanted to go back to Madrid to see her baby, but the family of her husband told her they would take her there in a week.

She then claimed that the family had threatened her. However, investigations revealed that this was not the truth and she made a deal with the couple to assist them in their fertility issue.

The baby is being looked after at a centre for child protection in Cordoba.
