MORRISSEY has cancelled his Thursday night concert at Valencia due to the sleep deprivation brought on by the Fallas celebrations.
Tonight, the ex-Smiths singer will play his first ever gig in the city at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia.
Close to 1,500 tickets with prices starting at €100 were sold out within minutes of going on sale last November.

The concert was part of the European tour he had planned to promote his album. He’d already performed at venues in the UK and Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg Netherlands France Switzerland Italy.
Both venues are sold out. The singer-songwriter, aged 66, has two dates left on his Spanish tour.
A statement on Morrissey’s website said that he arrived in Valencia after travelling from Milan by car but had not been able to rest ‘due to the noise’.
Morrissey arrived at his hotel in the late evening of Wednesday after a two-day trip.
The statement continued, “He could not sleep or rest at night because of the noise from the festival, loud techno voices and announcements made over the public-address system.”
The report stated, “This experience has left Morrissey a catatonic condition.”
The performer earlier this year cancelled six concerts on the North American leg of his tour due to ‘illness’, while last November he scrapped gigs in Latin America, citing ‘extreme exhaustion’.
