C.D. Mojacar’s Alevin ‘A’ team has achieved an outstanding runner-up position in the 12th edition of the COVAP Cup, held this February in Huercal de Almeria.

After a successful tournament, Mojacar reached the grand finale, where they lost to Poli Aguadulce.

The tournament was an amazing experience for 16 teams that came from across the region. They showed commitment, talent and sportsmanship in each match. The Mojacar club has congratulated its players for their great performances in the competition and throughout the season.

Mojacar Football Team shines at the 12th COVAP Cup

The COVAP Cup, an educational and sports initiative that travels around the eight Andalucia Provinces to promote healthy lifestyle habits and sporting values among young athletes. This tournament provides a chance for young athletes to not only compete on a high-level, but to also learn about fairness, teamwork and the importance of exercise.

C.D. Mojacar reiterates its commitment towards the sporting education and support of its players, as well as its belief in football based on teamwork and values. This runner up title is a testament to the dedication and effort of the club’s young talent, who will continue preparing for future competitions in the same manner.

The Mayor of Mojacar Francisco Garcia Cerda congratulated them for their outstanding performance. It is a great source of pride to see our young athletes represent Mojacar so sincerely and with such dedication. The great work done by our grassroots sport in Mojacar is demonstrated in their performance at the COVAP Cup. Local Council will support the sporting growth of our youth, as we believe sport is an important tool to teach values and promote healthy living.
