Kean was accidentally kneed in the head by Pawel Dawidowicz midway through the second period, while jostling for the ball with Diego Coppola. Despite receiving treatment for a gash above his left eye—and briefly returning to the field—Kean collapsed again moments later with no one near him. He was rushed by medics and worried teammates to the hospital. Fiorentina confirmed that he had suffered head injuries and would be under observation.

Dramatic scenes at Stadio Markantonio Bennettegodi overshadowed final stages of the match. Once play resumed, Verona snatched a stoppage-time winner thanks to Antoine Bernede, sealing a 1–0 victory. Fiorentina confirmed Kean’s injuries and assured fans that further tests are being conducted. Fans will be praying for Kean’s quick recovery.
Kean has signed a five-year contract with Fiorentina, which will run until 2029. He has already proven his talent, scoring 19 goals across 29 appearances in all competitions. Kean, who is now back in Italy, spent four years playing for Everton Premier League where he scored twice and made 32 appearances. After this disturbing incident, Fiorentina fans and the Italy national are both eager to see Kean return to the field as soon as possible.
