Mobile collection points in Estepona & Cancelada have made recycling easier for residents. The mobile collection points are designed to make it easier for locals to dispose of household items in a responsible, convenient, and fast manner, without the need to travel or wait on scheduled pickups.

A mobile recycling van operates every Tuesday from 9am until 10:30am in Cancelada, and then travels to various parts of Estepona during the day. The Avenida de Andalucia and Avenida de los Reales are included, as well as Avenida Juan Carlos I and the area around the fairground.

The initiative simplifies the disposal of common household wastes such as batteries and used oil. It also includes old electronics, lightbulbs, printer cartridges, paint containers, and other items. These items can’t often be thrown away in the regular bins or aren’t accepted by nearby recycling centers.

With mobile points, you don’t need to make any special trips. Check the schedule and take your items to the team on site. It’s a simple, quick way to help keep your local environment free of hazardous materials.

The Estepona Municipality hopes this service will encourage people to recycle responsibly and reduce illegal disposal. It is also an option for expats that may not know how to recycle locally or where they can take their special waste.
