OUTRAGE in Spain as members of the infamous ‘Wolf Pack’ have their sentences slashed.
A Navarra court has reduced the sentence of two of the ‘Wolf Pack’ rapists from 15 to 14 years.
This is due to the sexual consent law (Ley Organica 10-2022), which, while intended to tighten up rules against non-consensual acts of sex but inadvertently permitted many convicted criminals to appeal.
The High Court of Justice of Navarra (TSJN) reportedly considers itself ‘legally obliged’ to lower the sentences of Jose Angel Prenda and Jesus Escudero.

It follows the reduction of Angel Boza’s sentence in 2024, another member of the ‘Wolf Pack’ using the ‘Only Yes Means Yes’ law introduced after the horrific attack.
The Supreme Court recognises that the 2022 law lowered the minimum sentence for gang rape ‘significantly’.
Many people, including the victim and Pamplona Council as well the Government of Navarra were against the reduction.
Irene Montero, then the Minister of Equality at that time, was responsible for advancing this law.
The law intended to charge any non-consensual sex abuse but dropped the lesser charge. All violations were now charged with sexual assault which carries a harsher penalty.
This meant that the minimum and maximum prison sentences were reduced, resulting in some offenders having their sentences reduced on appeal.
In Spain, the incident has sparked outrage with many people taking to social media in order to express their concerns.
“Making a law against the ‘Wolf Pack’ that then benefits them. You could be worse than Irene Montero. But it would be extremely difficult,” @Tarahal1979 said.
Another tweeted: “Thanks Irene. The Wolf Pack and sexists also thank you.”
