Age Concern Marbella/San Pedro invites Costa del Sol residents to volunteer their time and talents in order to help older English-speaking expatriates.

The charity cites volunteering as a rewarding way to make an impact. Everyone has skills that are valuable, whether they’re organising events, fundraising or just listening.

Age Concern aims to help older expats live a life filled with friendship and fun, so they don’t feel lonely or isolated. Age Concern has helped hundreds of seniors in the local area through a combination social activities, tailored support and practical assistance.

Your talents and time will be appreciated at Age Concern

The charity says that “our client-focused approach is what makes us unique.” Your skills and talents are sure to flourish here and you will have a huge impact on the older members of our community. Volunteers provide tangible assistance, such as companionship or transportation to appointments. They also help with everyday tasks and gain a deep sense of personal fulfillment.

Age Concern Marbella – San Pedro understands that people have experienced negative experiences in the past with volunteering, and may feel unappreciated. Age Concern promises to offer a unique experience. Flexible opportunities will be tailored to each individual’s availability and interest, as well as a commitment to making every volunteer moment enjoyable.

Make a difference to your community

“If you believe that 2026 is the time to make a change, we should definitely talk,” says the charity. “We will make every effort to ensure that, however much spare time you may have, you will be able to enjoy each and every moment with us.”

The charity runs without government funding a Social and Activity Centre, in San Pedro. This centre offers activities such as yoga, bridge lessons, and group meetings, along with regular coffee breakfasts throughout Marbella and San Pedro.

Age Concern Marbella San Pedro is the best place to find out more about volunteering, including home visits and befriending as well as practical support for events and assistance.

Call the helpline on 689 35 51 98, open weekdays from 10am to 6pm, or email info@ageconcernmarbella.com with a daytime contact number. The team welcomes new volunteers to the team and looks forward to working together in the coming year to make the lives better for older expats.
