Marbella has introduced new measures from July 1 through September 15 to make it easier and safer for people to move around the city. This includes pedestrians, bicycles, and users who use personal mobility vehicles such as e-scooters.
A detailed map dividing the city into nine distinct sectors, from Cabopino to San Pedro Alcántara, outlines alternative routes to prioritise pedestrian flow, especially during the peak tourist season.
Local offices and hotels will distribute information leaflets detailing these routes, and the e-scooter rules will make it easier for tourists and residents to navigate without accidents.
Marbella has expanded its free shuttle bus service from the Starlite festival to include all dates between July 2 and August 24, a move that will improve accessibility. Line 10 is now upgraded with 15 stops, compared to just two in previous years, and will cover nearly the whole municipality. This service, which operates 12 trips daily from 8pm-6am at intervals of 40 minutes, is expected to be used by many more people than 4,000 last year. This plan is aimed at both locals and tourists, and offers a convenient way to get back to the hotel after a long night of partying. It also allows better access to one Marbella’s most popular summer events where alcohol will be served.
These practical changes aim to make the summer in Marbella easier and more enjoyable for all. They will ensure safe travel, and that everyone can enjoy Marbella’s vibrant nightlife.
