Classic motors to fill the streets of Marbella

Marbella streets filled with classic cars

The 13th edition of the “City of Marbella Antique Vehicle Exhibition” will take place on September 26-27, a highlight of Costa del Sol tourism and culture.

Over 45 historical vehicles, some of them over a 100 years old, are expected to attract collectors, enthusiasts, and visitors from all across Spain, and even beyond.

The event revs engines on Friday, September 26, at 9.30am with a scenic route from the Hotel Paloma Blanca to the Serranía de Ronda. The classic cars will be presented on the San Pedro Alcantara Boulevard at 8pm. This is followed by a parade of urban vehicles through Avenida Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Calle Marques del Duero and Calle Marques del Duero.

The classic car convoy departs from the hotel on Saturday, September 27th, heading towards Marbella via Nueva Andalucia. It will also pass through Puerto Banus. The cars will arrive via the AP-7 at around 11:30am and be displayed in front Hotel El Fuerte along the Paseo Maritimo.

Jose Luis Arredondo of the Costa del Sol Historic Vehicle Club shared that this exhibition will only include pre-1965 models. This includes century-old treasures such as a 1920s Ford A alongside rare convertibles by Rolls Royce Lincoln Mercedes and Jaguar.

Pepe Romero, the event organizer, said: “We are expecting a large turnout of locals as this is an opportunity to see real automotive gems within a festival environment.”
