The golden glow of Christmas officially is about to arrive on the Costa del Sol, as Mayor María Ángeles Muñoz has announced when she will press the button to illuminate more than two million LED lights across Marbella, transforming the city into a winter wonderland.
Residents will fill the Avenida del Mar for the spectacular switch-on, which includes live carols performed by the Municipal Choir, biodegradable confetti falling from the sky, and fireworks over the Mediterranean. This year’s star attraction will be the return to the traditional Christmas Market at Avenida del Mar. The wooden chalets will open their doors daily from Friday 28th November until Monday 5th January.
