SEASON two of Costa del Sol mafia drama, Marbella Filming has started in Cadiz.
Film crews began filming on Playa de Palmones, a usually quiet stretch of coast in Cadiz. Marbella Season two.
The choice of the Campo de Gibraltar area for filming is not a coincidence, since the region has been associated with narcotrafficking.

Portraying the Costa del Sol’s international gangs, such as the Mocro Mafia with ‘scary accuracy’, the series is by Movistar Plus+.
The series, led by Hugo Silva who portrays a Marbella attorney dragged into a criminal underworld, combines thriller genre, legal drama, and crime.
The project is run by journalists Nacho Carrero and Arturo Lezcano who have extensively covered the seedy underbelly of the city.
Their 2021 Report published in El Pais, ‘Marbella, the global headquarters of organised crime‘ is the foundation of the show.
MarbellaTwo months after the popularity of the first season which quickly became Movistar Plus+’s most-watched series, the second chapter of was confirmed.
The same team that produced the first episode, Alberto Marini and Dan de la Torre along with Oskar Santos, Fran Araujo and Oskar de la Torre will write, produce and direct the second.
The second season is expected to be released on March 6, 2019. This has not been officially confirmed.
