Official figures from the National Statistics Institute reveal that the city welcomed 1,500 additional visitors in January of 2025 compared with the same period in 2024. This boost in the early part of the year is indicative of a season that will be spectacular, with international visitors leading it.
Warm welcome
Marbella hotels welcomed 30,198 visitors in January, including 22223 international travellers. Laura de Arce is the Director of Tourism for Marbella. These statistics show that ‘a The city is experiencing a solid growth in this area sector’. De Arce lauded this upward trend, proudly highlighting Marbella’s ‘position as one of Spain’s most attractive destinations.’
The price is Right
In a record-breaking turn, the average price per room shot up to €158.79, which is nearly €14 more than last year – an all-time high since records began. De Arce beamed, ‘We continue to hold the highest recorded price per room, a sign of Marbella’s appeal.’
Revenue per available room (RevPar(also soared as a result of a smart blend between increased demand and strategically priced products. De Arce described it as ‘an indicator key to hotel profitability,’ noting it underlines the long-term strength of the local hospitality sector.
