Malaga Virgin of Hope will be the biggest hospital in Andalucia


Andalucian Regional president Juanma Moreno The new Malaga hospital is named Virgen de la Esperanza. The name is a tribute to the long-standing cultural and historical link between the Virgin Hope and Malaga’s health care. The new facility, which will become Andalucia’s largest hospital complex ever, represents a major investment of €543 million. The new facility is expected to significantly improve the quality of healthcare in Costa del Sol, and Malaga province. Reports indicate Around 815 rooms will be available, along with 80 ICU beds and 48 operating theatres.

Moreno described The moment was hailed as historic. “The day we lay the foundation stone for Malaga’s brand new hospital after waiting two decades, the Virgen De la Esperanza would already be a part of Malaga.” This announcement highlights the close relationship between local religious traditions and public infrastructure.
