The Malaga Local Government Board finalised the dates of the 2025 Malaga Feria. It will take place between August 16 and 23.
The board confirmed that the Historic Center activities will end at 6pm as specified in the newly amended fair ordinance, which is now in effect. In accordance with Article 3 of ordinance, the agreement requires that the Malaga Fair includes August 19, the day commemorating the Reconquest of Malaga (by the Catholic Monarchs) and the city’s incorporation in the Crown of Castile. This article governs the August celebration, and delegated the exact dates to the Local Government Board.
Article 11 states that all public activities including street music must cease annually at the agreed-upon time. This will remain 6pm for 2025 in accordance with previous editions, and to address requests from the affected groups. Delegation agreements were also updated to reflect recent ordinance changes. The Department of Operational Services, Internal Affairs, Beaches, and Festivals oversees administrative actions and decisions related to fairs.
The Department will assign spaces to stalls, attractions and authorized areas within the Cortijo de Torres public fairground. They will also grant temporary public space licenses for youth, families, horse boxes and official stalls. This will ensure a well-organised fair in 2025.
