The UK has the highest demand for passengers (1,556,649), Germany (525010 passengers), and the Netherlands (461,575 passengers).

The figures for this year represent an increase in users of 10.4% and in operations of 9% compared to April 20,24.

It’s also worth noting that the airport could continue its operations ‘normally’ during the nationwide blackout, by using its own generators.

These figures indicate that the total number of passengers may exceed 25 millions this year. Last year, that number was close to being reached.

Arturo Bernal, Minister of Tourism in Andalucia, said that at this rate the airport would reach its operational limit of 30 millions passengers by 2026.

Environmental approval was given for a 1.7-kilometre branch road around the airport.
