Mao Asian Street Food is celebrating Japan’s Tanabata festival on 7 July.

IT has already brought an Eastern paradise to western Costa del Sol.

Now Mao Asian Street Food This Sunday, the restaurant will host a Japanese festival.

Tanabata or the Star Festival is always held on 7th July, based on the stars Vega & Altair.

This film is based upon an ancient Chinese myth and celebrates Orihime’s reunion with Hikoboshi.

The restaurant in Mijas Costa promises a ‘magical evening’ to celebate the Japanese Star Festival. 

Expect an unforgettable evening with live music, festive vibes and a special menu that is only available for one night, inspired by Japanese flavours,” says a Metro Group spokesperson, which also operates Max Beach, next door.

This is a great opportunity to try something new, whether you are a Mao fanatic or first-time visitor.
