Women’s Wear Daily reported that the work wardrobe of Jude Bellingham is soon to match his off-duty look, while a Spanish sports outlet claimed Real Madrid, a football club, will no longer be an institution or a symbol of style.
Real Madrid’s off-field image has been raised a notch with the multi-year contract to dress in luxury by Louis Vuitton. Adidas continues to design the club jerseys.
In a move that is less of a collaboration than a perfect match, the world’s sexiest team has teamed up to create the most sultry fashion house in history. It’s not just a logo. This is a game-changing lifestyle alliance — a moment when two powerhouses collide.
Jude Bellingham is already wearing LV
Real Madrid, freshly-crowned European champions, have chosen Louis Vuitton to become their official travel trunk supplier — a glamorous affirmation that their players will arrive and depart in style, wherever their European tour might take them.
The deal brings together a team filled with superstar players — from Jude Bellingham to Vinicius Junior — with a fashion label that’s a byword for prestige, discretion and excellence. The first manifestation is a custom Louis Vuitton trunk designed to carry the most iconic piece of silverware in European football — the European Cup.
The trunk debuted alongside the team at Wembley after their victory, adding dramatic flair to an already glorious story.
The French fashion house WWD signed Bellingham last year, a Real Madrid midfielder, as a Brand Ambassador and has dressed Bellingham for prestigious occasions such as the Ballon d’Or. reported.
Now, he and his teammates, including Kylian Mbappé, Thibaut Courtois and Vinícius Júnior, will dress in a wardrobe designed by Pharrell Williams, creative director of menswear at Vuitton, for major travel and events.
Football and royal luxury meet
Pietro Beccari is the chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton. He told WWD that “it’s football royalty meeting luxury royalty.”
“Because football is ultimately the most popular sport in the world, and Real Madrid, a legendary club, is on top of it all. Louis Vuitton, as the global leader, has a similar aura. “I think it’s an authentic marriage, and a perfect one.” he said.
Real Madrid’s institutional relations director, Emilio Butragueño, said, “At Real Madrid, we relentlessly pursue excellence as the path to remain at the top. The same philosophy underpins a brand that is as iconic as Louis Vuitton in the luxury sector.
He said: “Both have transcended time and we share the responsibility to build a legacy as well as the purpose of inspiriting the world beyond our respective industry.”
Beccari is a former professional soccer player. He said that Louis Vuitton, the sport’s governing body internationally, has been partnering with FIFA since 2010 to design the trunk of the World Cup trophy. “Today’s partnership with a soccer club marks a brand new era, and it predicts an incredibly positive future,” Beccari said.
Terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed. The agreement covers the formal wardrobes of Real Madrid’s mens’ and womens’ football teams. The agreement also covers the men’s basketball squad, along with ready-to-wear and shoes that will be worn for official representations.
