Age Concern Marbella – San Pedro are announcing that they have a unique opportunity as the ‘voice’ of the organisation, heading up the fantastic and well-established Welfare Department.

Sandra, the current head of department, has been a calm and knowledgeable voice to all those who call the Helpline. Sandra has decided to step down from her front-line welfare duties and is seeking someone with a unique set of skills to take the reins. As Head of welfare, you’ll oversee their Helpline. You will also be often the first contact point for people who need advice, help, or support with regards to their welfare.

Age Concern are a ‘people’ organisation first and foremost, so if you like the idea of helping others, have a good telephone manner and enjoy being part of a great supportive team, this could just be the role for you. A basic knowledge of Spanish is helpful. It is important to have a calm voice that is reassuring and understands the caller’s distress. A full induction will give you all the knowledge and skills you need. You will receive ongoing support and assistance, as well as a simple-to-read guide that ensures your help is accurate and consistent, whether you are providing general information or more detailed.
