London Jazz entertains Torremolinos

Esther Bennett from London is one of Britain’s most celebrated and beloved singers. Her Esther Bennett Quartet will perform a captivating concert at the Clarence Jazz Club Torremolinos beginning in July.

Bennett is known for her soulful renditions of jazz standards and pop songs. Her voice was influenced by her Birmingham roots and early years as an saxophonist. It has a distinct bluesy style and individuality.

Her performances are a mix of musicality and crazy senses of humor, earning her praises such as a “great singer with Sarah Vaughan-like influences” (Time Out), a “seductive low register and captivating wit”, (Jazz Wise).

Her 2004 debut album Just in Time was produced by jazz vocalist Ian Shaw, a Grammy-winning artist. Jazzwise gave the album a 4-star review and it was released at London’s 606 Club. Since then, she’s performed in London, UK and Europe at some of the most prestigious venues.

The show will include a variety of songs from Bennett’s extensive repertoire and her recordings. It is a carefully crafted and captivating musical experience. Bennett, a frequent visitor to the area, expressed her excitement at returning to the Clarence Jazz Club where she will be sure to captivate audiences once more. The Esther Bennett Quartet is scheduled to perform on Saturday, July 4, at 10pm. Entry is between €12 and €15. Clarence Jazz Club, Calle Invisible 8 Torremolinos.
