‘Keep my dreams alive’: American teen from Malaga appeals for funds to launch MotoGP career – and needs at least €50,000 – CSN News

AN American teen from Malaga has launched an urgent €50,000 appeal to ‘keep his MotoGP’ dream alive.

Josh Wood from Fuengirola, 16 years old, is raising money in order to participate in the Junior MotoGP World Championships this year.

He hopes that it will be the beginning of his journey to becoming a world champion in May.

Due to the high costs, it is difficult to compete in motorcycling without sponsors.

Josh is still a top driver in the Red Bull Rookies MotoGP Cup. He has been accepted to the SPN Academy and raced all over Spain.

Taking part in and training for the junior championship reportedly requires a minimum of €100,000, leading Josh’s family to look for support.

“I love motorcycling.” I almost only think and live about racing. “After a lot hard work, persistence and blood, sweat, and tears, I’ve reached the point where I can compete at the world championships,” said he.

Maiteland, his mother, said: “I am 100% behind him and will do anything to help him follow his passion.” “As a mom, nothing is better than watching your child be happy and live their passion.”
