Renato Lopes Furtado has officially joined the Jimbee Cartagena football team, which plays in the First Division Spanish League. Lopes Furtado, born in Santa Catarina, Cape Verde, Africa, and living in Spain since he was a year and 8 months old, had previously played for Jaén Paraíso Interior FS, signing with them in 2022, and going on to win the Copa de España with the team in 2023.

Lopes was able to score 14 goals at the Olivo Arena, which brought him national recognition. Now, after three seasons with Jaén Paraíso, the 27-year-old player has signed with Jimbee until 2028. He signed a 3-season contract, and hopes that this arrangement will bring him his power and versatility to the football field.

Lopes will flourish with the new team and management, as he is clearly excited by the change. Lopes stated that he was excited about the change and said, “I am ambitious to progress, so Jimbee would be the perfect team for me.” It is a great pleasure to me, and I’ll give it all.”

Lopes said that the Jimbee Cartagena team welcomed him warmly and he immediately felt at home. We hope the team has a great future.
