Ironman 70.3 World Championship will be held at Marbella on November 8, 9 and 2025.
Over 7,000 international athletes will compete in the historic event, which includes a 1.9-kilometre swim in the Mediterranean near Puerto Banús, a 90-kilometre cycling route through scenic towns like Ojén, Coín, and Cártama, and a half-marathon along the Marbella coastline connecting to Puerto Banús.
The event, expected to draw a global audience of over 10 million through worldwide broadcasts, was officially presented by Marbella’s mayor, Ángeles Muñoz. She spoke of its enormous impact on tourism, local economy and Marbella’s global visibility. Francisco Salado, president of the provincial council estimated an economic benefit exceeding €60 million, noting the event’s potential to attract new visitors and investors.
Marbella’s return of the iconic event cements its status as a top destination for sporting events.
