International Inline Hockey Tournament, Boliches

The 16th International Inline Hockey Tournament will be held at the Santa Fe de Los Boliches Municipal Stadium from Friday, September 26 to Sunday, Sept. 28. 

Organised by the Club Lions Hockey Fuengirola as part of the ‘Fuengirola en Forma’ programme, the event will feature teams from Finland, England, Latvia, Sweden, and Spain, including local clubs from Murcia, Ceuta, and Seville.

Fuengirola’s sporting calendar is dominated by this tournament, which attracts hundreds of participants who enjoy not only the competition but also the city’s beaches, gastronomy and hospitality.

Jari Nyman is the president of Club Lions Inline Hockey Fuengirola. He stressed the event’s growing prestige. “This 16th international competition and the level of the competition keeps improving.” Many teams from abroad want to come back, but are often turned away because of high demand. Nyman expressed his hope that Lions will win this time.

This event is a further recognition of Fuengirola’s appeal as a center for sports tourism. The visiting athletes boost local businesses, and create camaraderie between local clubs. The weekend will be filled with exciting matches as teams compete for the title.

Boliches Stadium is on Avenida de Las Salinas, 9, Fuengirola. Entrance is free.
