From April 6th – 21stThe festival will be a spectacle of world-renowned music, with no less than Fourteen acclaimed soloists are joined by five distinguished conductors and two international orchestras This grand concert of classical music will be held in the Middle East.

Formed by some of the country’s finest musicians, the orchestra, under the direction of Founder and Music Director, Tomàs Grau, has built a sterling reputation across the globe for its programming and artistic quality. Having already collaborated with many of the most lauded names of our time, the orchestra has had the pleasure of performing in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Auditorio Nacional de Música, Palau de la Música Catalana, and the Palau de les Arts, amongst many others, and will now be marking their Dubai premiere with a series of concerts at InClassica 2025.

In a statement expressing their excitement, the orchestra stated that “It is a great honour for the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, to be invited at the prestigious InClassica International Music Festival. This festival represents excellence in classical music and we are proud and excited to be making our debut as part of the 14th edition of this festival in Dubai. Its flawless organization and inspiring atmosphere inspire us to rise up to the occasion and give performances that match this exceptional event.”

The orchestra will perform at the Dubai Opera six times during InClassica, alongside artists like Roman Kim (Germany), Maxim Vengerov(Monaco), Daniel Lozakovich(Sweden), Gil Shaham(USA), Mikhail PletnevSwitzerland and others.

They noted that “having the chance to work with such extraordinary performers is both an honor and inspiration”. Each artist has a unique musical voice and perspective that enriches our interpretations. These collaborations are approached in an open and transparent manner, with a shared commitment for excellence. This ensures that every note reflects the brilliance the artist brings to the stage. “Their unparalleled artistry will certainly shape our performances and create unforgettable moments for audiences, as well a profound artistic experience in the orchestra.”

InClassica’s original programming has been praised for years, and it is a combination of both historical classics as well as modern masterpieces. The ensemble remarked that they appreciated this approach. They declared that InClassica “stands out as a Festival that masterfully integrates artistic innovation and cultural celebration with a dedication to excellence both in programming, and execution which creates an unprecedented platform for artists, and audiences”.

When asked to comment on the repertoire they will bring to life themselves on the stage of the festival, they noted that “Our programmes reflect the festival’s dedication to excellence and diversity.” The repertoire includes a wide range of masterpieces which showcase the virtuosity and interpretative depths of the soloists as well as the versatility of orchestras. The repertoire ranges from timeless classics such as Mendelssohn or Mozart to more contemporary works by Alexey Shrir and Mikhail Pletnev.

They continued: “Alexey Shor’s compositions are in particular a celebration melody and emotion”, “bridging the distance between the traditional and innovative.” His music is a refreshing alternative to the majority of contemporary repertoire. It resonates with audiences. “We are thrilled to bring his work to life, to explore their unique narratives and emotional depth, and it’s a real honour to contribute to the celebration of his artistic heritage during the festival.”

Franz Schubert Filharmonia is also aware of the cultural importance of their participation as they prepare to perform their first performance in the GCC. InClassica’s contribution to establishing Dubai and GCC as a hub of classical music in the region is inspiring, they said. This is our first time in the region and we feel honoured to take part in this exciting cultural development.
