In the period July to September, foreign buyers made up 43.29% in Alicante’s province.
Spain’s Association of Registrars reported that the percentage of non Spanish buyers who reached the average national of 13.6% was the highest in the nation.
Malaga’s province has a percentage of 31.8%. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is next (29.6%), followed by the Balearic Islands at 29.4%.

In the Valencian Community as a whole, the foreign demand was 27%. This is the second highest percentage in Spain behind the Balearics.
Most active non-Spanish purchasers were British with 7.9%, followed by Germans with 6.5%, and Dutch with 6%.
Overall, 57.6% of purchases come from the European Union, and 18.3% from the rest of Europe. Africa (8.2%), Asia (6.4%) and also growing in interest.
In Alicante, the Costa Blanca South – with Torrevieja as the focal point, Orihuela Costa & Guardamar del Segura – is the area most sought after by foreign buyers.
Buyers from the north and central Europe, with high buying power, are most prevalent in areas such as Altea. Benissa. Calpe. and Javea.
Alicante registered 13,261 homes sales between July-September, 0.3% higher than the previous quarter. This is 11% higher than one year ago.

The average price per m2 in Alicante province reached €2,120 with a quarterly increase of 4.6% and a year-on-year rise of 11.4%.
With new housing, the average value was €2,823 per m2(up 10.2%) while second-hand properties stood at €1,958 per m2(up 2.3%).
In Alicante City, the average price reached €2,001 per m2 with a year-on-year increase of 8.4%- consolidating rises that started in 2023.
