The Wine Routes of Spain Product Club reported that visits to vineyards and wine museum rose by 2.2% in the last year, to just under 3 million. Revenues increased by 10%.
Only 2017 and 2019 saw a higher number of visitors.
The financial impact of wine tourism reached over €112 million- a record figure- and 9.9% increase compared to 2023.

The number of domestic visitors was 74.9%, but international visitors were up 3.9% on last year.
This is due to the constant promotion of tourist attractions, as well as the increasing number of foreign tourists who visit regions like Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol.
The report highlights that wine tourists value this type of tourism and the role played by the establishments in creating new experiences.
The average price of visiting museums and wineries has risen slightly, while visitor spending is up.
According to the study, wine tourists continue to visit and enjoy other offerings and visits because they perceive them as being of high quality and affordable.
In October 2024, the grape harvesting season was again the main reason for the high number of visitors.
Travel during autumn is boosted by the opportunity to see the beautiful landscapes of the vineyards.
August is the busiest month of the year for tourists.
The top five vineyards in terms of the number of visits were Marco de Jerez (340 309), Penedes (33 2,305), Rioja Alta (332,305), Rioja Alavesa (243,463) and Ribera delDuero (247 894) as well as Rias Baixas (102,480).
The most popular museums were Calatayud (248,781) Ribera del duero (133189), Arlanza (108,792) and Marco de Jerez (85.343).
