The reports surrounding a alleged Super Ballon d’Or ceremony for Cristiano Cristiano or Lionel Messi have been closely tied to specific dates in Paris.

All the details have been revealed for the 2025 Ballon d’Or. Rodri’s heirs are closely monitoring the situation in Paris.

The nominations are announced beginning August 13th. All of this will be accompanied by a general presentation on September 22nd, in Paris, of the 13 Awards conceived by UEFA’s alliance with France Football. Everything will continue to take place at the Théâtre du Chatelet, which has become the home of an awards ceremony that has been fraught with controversy and unexpected twists in the fight for the trophy in recent years.

One Super Ballon d’Or was awarded

The prize money was included in the discussion surrounding the Super Ball, or Ballon d’Or, just hours before.

Super Ballon d’Or is a special award that was only presented once, in 1989. The award was given in 1989 to the player who had played the most games over the previous three decades.

Alfredo Di Stéfano is, to date, the only player to have touched the trophy, a fact that has been debated on France Football’s social media channels in recent hours. Messi or Cristiano Cristiano have of course been at the center of attention.

“A Ballon d’Or unlike any other. In 1989, a player was awarded a trophy that no one had won before: the Super Ballon d’Or. Who was this player? And if it were awarded again today… Who would deserve it?” The post that ignited controversy and debates on social media can be read.

The award was first presented in 1989

The award was given only once, on December 24th 1989. The sole intention of the magazine responsible for delivering the prize was to honour Di Stéfano’s career and his impact on the history of European football.

Only time will tell. In recent years, there have been rumours about the possibility of a Super Ballon d’Or gala in 2029. Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi are the frontrunners.

Only the Ballon d’Or shows that the Argentine is ahead of the Portuguese by eight to five. The football world will be looking forward to the 22nd of September, when Rodri, Manchester City’s Rodri, is expected to give birth to an heir. Thirteen awards can be won.

Ronaldo is the only player to have scored 938 goals in his career for both his club and country’s national side. He is also one of only a few players who have played more than 1,250 times in his professional career. Ronaldo’s career has seen him win 34 senior trophies.

Messi scored 865 club and national goals during his professional career. This includes 1,106 matches. He is also only the fifth and sixth player in history who has won both five and six European Golden Shoes. In his career as a footballer, he has won a total of 45 trophies.

Who was it that I chose?

Will a Super Ballon d’Or finally settle the age-old debate of who the greatest footballer ever was? Marca claims that there are many more potential winners than those two. Rodri Hernandez deserves to be in the top five, but so do Karim Benzema and Luka Modric. Kaka, Fabio Canavaro and Ronaldinho are also worthy of being on that list.

Grok, when asked to choose between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, chose the former. ChatGPT also chose Lionel, and said the dark horses would be Cristiano, then Zidane or Ronaldinho, and lastly, Pelé or Maradona. Whom do you think should win? Comment below.
