Generosity of artists – Costa del Sol artworks raise funds for ACE

Two artists held a special exhibition and sale at El Soto Restaurant, Marbella on the weekend from September 19-21. They wanted to share their love of art with others while also helping a cause that was close to their heart.

A portion from all art sales will be donated directly to ACE Charity. This animal sanctuary is located in Mijas and its representatives were at the event. Lesley Lawrence, Oksana Kouriciene and other artists were thrilled to be able to sell their work while also supporting this important cause.

Both painters, who are long-standing members of the Costa del Sol community, were inspired by ACE. Oscana stated, “My artistic title is Roxanne. And I have only been painting for one year, with no training in art. What started as an invitation to attend a masterclass given by Yulia Vokovich became something completely unexpected. “Some call it talent, I call it miracle.” She paints with passion and explores various styles. She draws inspiration from her surroundings and the beauty of nature. Each piece is deeply personal and unique. “As a lifetime advocate for animals, i’ve decided to give back with a charity fundraiser supporting ACE. This amazing organization helps animals in need. Art found me and I am now using it to make an impact!

The animal welfare charity continues to count the proceeds, even though the show has ended. Sales of the paintings continue through the connections made during the weekend.

The team of Ace Volunteers was at El Soto to collect donations and talk about ACE. “We’re so grateful for all the support we received from the artists, restaurant and members of the general public. Fabienne (founder of ACE) Paques, who is currently in Belgium to support a charity initiative, said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of all,” Del and Marti say from ACE.

Following the overwhelming success of the exhibition (€3,000+ raised), ACE hopes to find more generous Costa del Sol artists to help raise money at similar exhibitions in the near future.
