For the second year running, Mijas Town Hall is teaming up with the popular charity padel tournament ‘Todos con Cudeca’, sponsored by De Cotta Law, to raise funds for the Cudeca Foundation. The Cudeca Foundation’s work is supported by the event, which provides free palliative and medical equipment to people with advanced illness and their families.
The tournament was officially presented at Mijas Racquet Club by the Councillor for Sports, María Francisca Alarcón, alongside María Romera from Cudeca’s charity events department and Paula Gómez, representing De Cotta Law. The tournament will take place on December 20th and is sure to be full of competition.
Seven categories will be available, including mixed teams and a category for children under 12. The goal is 60 pairs of players who are enthusiastic.
The Cudeca Foundationhas provided professional and free palliative healthcare since 1992. The charity provides emotional and psychological support, as well as medical care, to the families of patients suffering from cancer or other advanced illnesses.
Following last year’s success, the foundation hopes to exceed the €5,000 raised during the inaugural tournament. Councillor Alarcón highlighted how such events not only bring the community together but also support the humanised care model that the Cudeca Foundation has maintained for over three decades in Málaga province. She thanked De Cotta and Mijas Tennis Club for their collaboration, which has ensured the success of the event both on and off court.
This tournament will be filled with padel, a raffle for charity, and a festive meal. It is a great way to support a good cause while having fun.
