Fuengirola’s Sohail Jazz Festival will host a series concerts on the grounds at the castle in the next few weeks. The festival is a popular event that brings together the best and most innovative sounds from the jazz scene around the world. The LauroArte association organizes this festival that promises a unique experience for jazz enthusiasts. It celebrates jazz as a form of expression, freedom, diversity and creativity.
The stage will host some of the most renowned jazz musicians in Spain, Serbia, and America.
Tonight (Friday), the festival will kick off with Eric Alexander and Rale Micic, who are touring Spain. Alexander is described as the beacon of today’s Jazz scene. Alexander started as a musician studying classical music at Indiana University.
Rale Mikic, a Serbian composer and jazz guitarist who moved to New York when he was 20 years old, is famous for fusing Balkan music with jazz.
The Blue Horses are a Spanish band that blends classic jazz with contemporary elements. The Blue Horses continue the festival Thursday 12th June.
Cecilia Krull will perform the last night (19 June), a jazz singer who hails from Madrid and has achieved great success in Europe with the title song to the TV series Money Heist.
