Forecasters say current heatwave will run until ‘probably’ Monday in Spain

SPAIN’S state weather forecaster says the current heatwave will ‘probably’ continue until Monday.

Just a few days ago Aemet stated that the excess temperatures that started on August 3 could ‘possibly’ end this midweek but has revised its projection.

Cantabrian region is the only area that is not affected by this current heat wave.

HEATWAVE CONTINUES

The following are some of the ways to get in touch with each other Aemet A spokesperson stated: “The configuration is still quite stationary, creating a persistent warm and dry mass.”

“This, combined with high summer temperatures, creates a heatwave.”

Aemet The cautious belief is that temperatures will start to drop on Monday, with certain conditions.

The spokesperson stated: “Although Monday’s temperatures are likely to be significantly higher, it is possible that they will drop, but still, some areas will exceed 40C”.

Extreme heat warnings are in place for large parts of 12 regions, including Andalucia and Aragon as well as Castilla y Leon (Castilla-La Mancha), Catalunya (Galicia), Extremadura (Navarra), La Rioja, Madrid and the Canary Islands.
