Lamine Yamal did not play Barcelona’s game against Valencia on Sunday, September 14, and team officials have “serious doubt” he’ll be available for Barça’s Champions League opener next Thursday, September 18.

Yamal, a leading candidate for the Ballon d’Or, is experiencing discomfort in his pubic area due to mismanaged playing times with the Spanish National Team. “It is a shame because he was in pain when he joined the national team. He didn’t train with the team at all. He had painkillers with him to play. Lamine played both matches, even though they scored over three goals. After Bulgaria, Lamine did not train again. Hansi Flick stated that this was not the way to take care of players.

He did not try to calm the tensions with the Federation. Instead, he said: “73 minutes and 79. Spain has the most successful national team in all of the world. Every position has outstanding players. This is what we might mean when we say we want to take care of our young players. “This saddens my heart.” Lamine Yamal, according to Barcelona’s doctor, finished the game against Rayo Vallecano in discomfort at his pubic bone.

Flick’s response was far from an attempt to reduce tensions between the Federation and Flick. He said “73 minutes and 79.” Spain has the most successful national team in all of football. The best players at every position are extremely good. This is what we might mean when we say we want to take care of our young players. “This saddens my heart.”

Lamine Yamil, according to Barcelona doctors, was in discomfort at the pubic bone when he finished his match against Rayo Vallecano.

But the Federation’s version is different. Las Rozas point out two things: “First, no one at Barcelona said that Lamine was in pain; second, Lamine has the same physiotherapist both at Barcelona and the Federation.” The physiotherapist they refer to is Fernando Galán. “How could he not have known that Lamine was injured?” The same sources are insistent.
