Mijas Pueblo will welcome the 45th year of the Carrera Feria de Mijas on Sunday, August 24, organised by the Asociación Deportiva Carrera Feria de Mijas.
The event has become a staple in the sports calendar of Malaga Province. The race will start and finish at the Plaza Virgen de la Peña, with up to 600 runners flooding the narrow streets of the picturesque village.
The main race is a 4,100m urban circuit which requires two laps of the Pueblo. As well, there will be kids’ races for categories ranging from pre-benjamín (born 2018–2025) to cadet (born 2010–2011) that will cover distances from 250 to 1,800 metres. Top three male and top female finishers for each category will receive prizes, and all participants receive the usual runner’s bags full of free goodies.
The race is open to athletes from pre-benjamín to masters, whether in the running federation or not, and it will be free to enter, with registration available at www.dorsalchip.es until August 20, 2025, at 11.59pm. On race day, number bibs will only be given out up to thirty minutes before the start time of 10am.
