From April 30 to May 4, Fuengirola’s fairgrounds come alive with the colours and sounds of the Feria de los Países, one of the biggest events in the Fuengirola calendar showcasing the different cultures resident in the town.
This year 33 countries, including Argentina Australia Brazil India Japan Senegal will be participating. They’ll present their cultures, cuisines and musical performances. The colourful display is attracting tourists and locals from as far away as Malaga.
Known locally as the ‘Feria de los Pueblos’, the fair features 33 country-themed stalls, each presenting authentic music, dance, decor, and traditional dishes. The fair offers a variety of cuisines, including Lebanese jerk and Spanish tapas, as well as folkloric performances. The fair is alive with music, dance and performances on the central stage every day from 1pm until 4am.
A highlight is the May 1 Nations’ Parade at 11am, starting from Plaza de España. Around 1,500 participants dressed in traditional costumes, will create a diverse show as they march through Fuengirola. Children’s Day on April 30 offers 50% off rides, along with activities for kids like storytelling and arts and crafts.
This year, there are new features, such as improved accessibility for those with limited mobility, themed rest areas and cultural workshops including Hawaiian dancing and African drumming. The safety and medical services were also doubled. Fuengirola’s Feria de los Países promises an unforgettable global journey for all ages.
