Along the coast of Valencia, gusts up to 50 km/hr were recorded on Saturday afternoon.

In the Castellon Province, wind direction is variable. There will be a stronger emphasis on the westerly wind in the southern area of the inland.

The temperatures in Alicante, Valencia and the interior will be around 39C on Friday. They will drop on Saturday and on Sunday.

In the coastal and pre-coastal areas of Valencia where temperatures could reach 38C, westerly winds are expected to increase.

Emergency management agencies are required to activate civil defense measures.

The authorities have been instructed to monitor areas which could be vulnerable to forest fires, and to restrict certain activities in order to reduce the likelihood of a blaze.
